Am I eligible?
The scheme is available for small to medium sized enterprises.
The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme promises to offer between £500 and £3,000 towards infrastructure costs of a gigabit-capable connection, providing certain criteria is met.
The connection needs to be ‘gigabit-capable’, providing speeds of at least 100 Mbps, which must be at least double the current speed received by the business. This connection must be procured with a minimum 12-month contract, of which at least six months must be paid.
A small to medium sized enterprise is defined as one that employs fewer than 250 people and has an annual turnover not exceeding €50 million, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding €43 million. This includes sole traders.
You must not have received more than 200K of public grants in the last 3 years. There’s more guidance on this in the terms and conditions document.
